Location of Job: Vienna, VA

Job Duties:

Collect and analyze data from nonprofit clients to detect deficient controls, duplicated efforts, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance.
Prepare detailed reports on audit findings for nonprofit clients.
Audit establishments, and determine scope of investigation required.
Report to management about asset utilization and audit results, recommend changes in operations and financial activities.
Inspect account books and accounting system for efficiency, effectiveness and use. of accepted accounting procedure to record transactions.
Examine financial and accounting transaction records to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommend controls to ensure system liability and data integrity.
Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income and expenditures for nonprofit clients.

Requirements:

Must have Master’s degree in Accounting.
At least 18 months of work experience as Accountant or Audit Associate.
Experience must include reviewing payroll and employee benefits plan, drafting audit report and show familiarity with audit document software such as Caseware or CCH Prosystem fx Engagement.
