Amanda is a Tax Senior Manager at Rogers & Company with more than 20 years of public accounting experience focused on tax compliance and consulting services for nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the Exempt Organizations Tax Practice at RSM US LLP. Amanda oversees the preparation of tax filings, in addition to providing compliance and advisory services for a wide range of the tax-exempt organizations served by the firm.

Her extensive experience with nonprofit and tax-exempt entities allows her to guide clients through complex matters involving tax compliance and strategy, transaction structuring, Unrelated Business Income Tax, lobbying and political activities, fundraising and solicitation regulations, and other issues unique to tax-exempt organizations. Amanda also has significant experience supporting clients through IRS examinations and audits, with a particular emphasis on private foundations and the operational and compliance challenges they face.

Amanda advises leadership teams of associations, foundations, and other nonprofit organizations on a broad range of tax topics, including intermediate sanctions, public support tests, supporting organizations, private letter rulings, reorganizations, and expense allocation methodologies.

She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the North Carolina Association of CPAs. Amanda earned a Master of Accounting degree from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Outside of her professional work, she volunteers in executive and support roles for several arts-related nonprofit organizations.
